Who We Are
Founded on October 1, 2014, the Merola Endowment Fund, Inc. (The Fund) was established by a committed group of Scout leaders who believe in the power of Scouting to strengthen communities. The Fund’s Mission is to expand access to traditional Scouting programs—including Troops, Cub Scout Packs, Explorer Posts, Venturing Crews, and Sea Scouting Ships—for underserved youth (both boys and girls) and their families from the towns and cities in Fairfield County, New Haven County and a portion of Hartford County, which comprises the service area of the Connecticut Yankee Council, Scouting America.
By helping to offset the rising costs associated with Scouting, The Fund ensures that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of participation. We provide critical support for uniforms, registration fees, summer camp, monthly camping trips, high-adventure experiences, leadership training, and more—making the full Scouting experience accessible to all.
